Contesting Unsavory Corporate Practices
Jordan focuses on appeals and consumer protection. He has participated in all aspects of the firm’s cases against the nation’s largest banks for their unfair and deceptive practices to maximize the occurrence of overdraft fees.
Jordan specializes in legal writing and has extensive experience with complex antitrust actions. He was the principal author of the petition for review granted by the California Supreme Court in the pharmaceutical pay-for-delay litigation involving Cipro, as well as the plaintiffs’ subsequent brief on the merits. Jordan also contributed to the en banc petition and related briefing in the Diamonds Antitrust Litigation, where the full Third Circuit withdrew an earlier panel decision and affirmed approval of a landmark $295 million settlement with De Beers.
After serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Cynthia Holcomb Hall of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, Jordan represented a broad range of technology companies in securities and intellectual property litigation at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati. In 2007, he was honored with Wilson Sonsini’s highest award for pro bono work.
Since 2009, Jordan has arbitrated disputes over attorneys’ fees under the auspices of the Bar Association of San Francisco. He is a contributing author to the California State Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law treatise and the California Class Actions and Coordinated Proceedings treatise.
