Maytag Refrigerator Consumer Complaints Investigation
Lieff Cabraser is investigating consumer complaints concerning various Maytag refrigerator models. Consumers have alleged that the Maytag French-door refrigerator models have a faulty design that causes cold air to flow directly onto the water reservoir inside of the refrigerator. This cold air freezes the water in the reservoir causing the water dispenser feature to stop working properly.
Consumers have also alleged that the refrigerator compressors and fans break with unusual frequency.
We are investigating the following models of Maytag fridges:

- MFD2561HE
- MFF2557HE
- MFF2558KEB
- MFF2558VE

Consumer Legal Rights
State and federal laws provide consumers with remedies for products that were defectively designed or manufactured or do not perform as advertised. This is true in many cases even after the warranty period has expired. The cost for a consumer to hire an attorney and file an individual lawsuit against the manufacturer of the defective product is often prohibitive.
