AT&T Landline Unauthorized Fees and Charges

  • Issue: Unauthorized fees

Investigation of AT&T "Transaction Clearing" or Unauthorized Third-Party Fees on Phone Bills (a.k.a. "Third-Party Cramming")

At the request of subscribers, we are investigating claims that AT&T has improperly charged customers unauthorized fees, including so-called "transaction clearing" fees.

Consumers have complained that AT&T and other home phone service companies have included unauthorized charges on their bills -- even when the consumers had not purchased the services for which they were billed or did not even receive those services.

We understand that companies like PaymentOne, ESBI, Rask Network, Transaction Clearing, and OAN Services, charge those fees under arrangements with AT&T and other home phone service companies. Those unauthorized charges can add up to $100 or more per year.
