West v. G&H Seed Co., Aventis CropSciences USA, LLP, et al.
With co-counsel, Lieff Cabraser represented a class of 1,500 Louisiana crawfish farmers. The farmers sued Bayer CropScience LP claiming the pesticide ICON killed their crawfish and caused economic ruin.
In 2004, the Court granted approval to a $45 million settlement. The settlement was reached after the parties had presented nearly a month’s worth of evidence at trial, and were on the verge of making closing arguments to the jury.
