New Bar President Kelly Dermody Focused on Keeping Courts Open and Helping People Access Them

In 2007, lawyer Kelly M. Dermody helped found a program that pays for a therapist to help school children in San Francisco's troubled Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood better cope with the violence around them.
Four years later, the effort is still going strong, as is Dermody's passion for pro bono work - an enthusiasm she hopes will catch on among the members of the Bar Association of San Francisco.
