Robert J. Nelson Named as Finalist for California Consumer Attorney of the Year

The Consumer Attorneys of California selected Lieff Cabraser's Robert J. Nelson, and his co-counsel, as finalists for the 2010 Consumer Attorney of the Year. The award is given each year to a member who has overcome unusual obstacles or long odds to provide justice for victims as well as assisting consumers or changing consumer law for the better in California. Mr. Nelson and co-counsel were recognized for their work in exposing alleged fraud by for-profit colleges in the University of Phoenix False Claims Act case.
