Lieff Cabraser, together with co-counsel, represented Thomas P. DiNapoli, Comptroller of the State of New York, in his capacity as trustee of the New York State Common Retirement Fund ("NYSCRF") in an individual securities action against Merrill Lynch for allegedly failing to adequately disclose its losses arising from its exposure to subprime mortgages and other securities, in violation of federal securities laws. The case was successfully resolved in 2011.
