Lieff Cabraser attorney Jonathan Selbin will be the keynote speaker at a national seminar for plaintiffs’ counsel on consumer warranty class action litigation in Washington, D.C. on June 4, 2014.
Presented by the American Association for Justice and the National Association of Consumer Advocates, the seminar will combine networking, courtroom strategies, legislative developments, and a review of significant cases and trends in warranty law.
Selbin chairs Lieff Cabraser’s defective products practice group and represents consumers nationwide in class actions involving a wide range of faulty products and deceptive business practices. Selbin is spearheading suits brought by consumers who purchased many popular front-loading washers sold from 2001 to 2008. The complaints charge the washers are defective because they accumulate mold, and consumers have been compelled to buy additional products sold by the manufacturers to try to remedy the problem. The litigation has received extensive media coverage and will be the subject of Selbin’s keynote address at the seminar.
