The Daily Journal recently published its annual list of 100 leading women lawyers in California. Lieff Cabraser attorneys Elizabeth J. Cabraser and Kelly M. Dermody were both named as Top Women Lawyers for 2015.
After reviewing hundreds of nominations, The Daily Journal honors 100 of California’s leading lawyers who are involved in the most cutting-edge work in litigation, regulation, and corporate transactions, and have the most impact in the legal industry. This year marks the 13th year Cabraser and the 4th year Dermody have received this award.
The chair of our personal injury and environmental practice group, Cabraser was recognized by the publication for her work in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico litigation, along with her leadership in the General Motors Ignition Switch litigation.
The Daily Journal highlighted the work of Dermody, the managing partner of our San Francisco office and chair of the employment practice group, in a gender discrimination class action against Goldman, Sachs & Co. “It’s been such a privilege working with these really highly credentialed, really accomplished clients who are trying to make lasting change on Wall Street and who don’t want to follow the well-worn path of just accepting a buy out to go away quietly,” stated Dermody. “They really want to make Wall Street better for the women behind them.”
