Lieff Cabraser attorney Annika K. Martin has been re-elected to a second term as Co-Vice Chair of the American Association for Justice’s Class Action Litigation Group (CALG). Promoting a fair and effective justice system, AAJ’s mission is to support the representation of those injured by the harmful misconduct and negligence of others. The Class Action Litigation Group creates a forum for attorneys to share ideas, discovery, and litigation strategies, allowing AAJ members to network and work collaboratively on class action cases.
A partner the firm’s New York office, Martin represents plaintiffs in environmental, mass tort, consumer protection, and antitrust and intellectual property cases. Martin is an integral member of Lieff Cabraser’s court-appointed leadership team in the multi-district litigation concerning the widespread outbreak of meningitis and other serious maladies caused by contaminated medication manufactured by New England Compounding Pharmacy; the litigation concerning ignition switch defects in numerous GM vehicles; the class action litigation against Honda to recover losses caused by defective window regulators; and the litigation concerning the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
