Lieff Cabraser attorney Kelly M. Dermody will participate in a panel discussion entitled “Implicit Bias: Fact or Fiction?” at the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) on July 28, 2015. The panel will examine implicit bias and whether it explains the lack of women in positions of power and leadership in law firms and corporations. The discussion is presented by BASF’s No Glass Ceiling Task Force. BASF Executive Director Yolanda Jackson will moderate.
The Chair of Lieff Cabraser’s employment practice group and Managing Partner of our San Francisco office, Ms. Dermody supervises many of the most significant and challenging employment class action lawsuits in our nation today, including complaints by professionals alleging gender and race discrimination by top Wall Street and Silicon Valley firms, wage suppression claims against technology companies and healthcare systems, overtime pay lawsuits against nationally prominent corporations, and ERISA claims on behalf of employees and retirees for pension plan abuses.
Ms. Dermody is a Past President of BASF, Fellow with the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers, and member of the Governing Council of the Labor and Employment Law Section of the American Bar Association.
