In its annual spotlight on the plaintiffs’ bar, The National Law Journal has selected Lieff Cabraser as one of the twelve top plaintiffs’ law firms in the nation for 2016. The award marks the fourteenth year that the NLJ has named Lieff Cabraser to its Hot List awards.
In compiling the list, the NLJ examines recent significant verdicts and settlements and looks for firms representing the best qualities of the plaintiffs’ bar and that demonstrated unusual dedication and creativity. As the Journal put it,
These firms tapped their deep benches for high-stakes litigation battles in courts across the country. They fought for whistleblowers, consumers, institutional investors and college athletes — among many other clients — in multimillion-dollar suits.
For 2016, the National Law Journal highlighted our important, innovative, and successful work in resolving multiple Telephone Consumer Protection Act cases, including our cases against Capital One Bank and HSBC (leading to two of the largest settlements in the TCPA’s 25-year history). The NLJ also noted the firm’s high-profile success against tech industry giants Apple, Google, Intel, Adobe, and others in the High Tech Employees Antitrust case which resulted in settlements totaling $435 million.
