The Faculty of Law at the University of Haifa will hold its second international conference on resolution of mass disputes on March 16-17, 2017. The conference has been organized jointly with the European Institute in Florence and City University of Hong Kong, and will focus primarily on international consumer disputes.
The conference will host distinguished scholars and practitioners from a myriad of different jurisdictions, including Asia, Europe, the United Kingdom and the United States. Speakers include Lieff Cabraser partners Elizabeth Cabraser and Steven Fineman, Professor John Coffee from Columbia Law School, Professor Carrie Menkel-Meadow from UCI Law, Professor Arthur Miller from New York University, Professor Geraint Howells from City University of Hong Kong, Professor Hans-Wolfgang Micklitz from the EUI, Diana Wallis (former Vice President of the European Parliament and current president of the European Law Institute), and Professor Adrian Zuckerman from the University of Oxford.
Ms. Cabraser and Mr. Fineman will participate in the Friday, March 17 panel discussion, “The Role of the Lead Lawyer in Consumer Class Actions.”
