Anne Shaver Speaks at 11th Annual Class Action and Mass Torts Seminar

The Consumer Attorneys of California, College of Trial Arts, and San Francisco Trial Lawyers Association have joined together to present the 11th Annual Class Action and Mass Torts Seminar. Lieff Cabraser partner Anne B. Shaver will be speaking at this seminar today at the Parc 55 Hotel in San Francisco, California. Ms. Shaver will be discussing “Challenges to Class Waivers in Arbitration Clauses in Employment Agreements Under Section 7 of NLRB.”

Other topics covered in this program include: class actions against government entities, the difference between class actions and MDLs, California’s amended Fair Pay Act, auto class action cases, class waiver challenges within arbitration clauses, and ethics in class action jurisprudence, among others.

Ms. Shaver is a partner in our San Francisco office whose practice focuses on employment law cases. A 2007 graduate of University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Berkeley Law), she was a student director of the Workers’ Rights Clinic of Centro Legal de la Raza in Oakland, and a volunteer at the Legal Aid Society – Employment Law Center. She is active in wage and hour, employment discrimination, and antitrust cases.
