This week, Lieff Cabraser attorneys Mark Chalos and Andrew Kaufman volunteered to provide free legal advice during a general legal clinic held at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in North Nashville. Chalos and Kaufman advised attendees on topics including employment law and housing matters. The legal clinic was organized and supported by Lipscomb University’s Fred D. Gray Institute for Law, Justice, & Society.
Based on the idea that legal change leads to social change, Lipscomb’s Institute for Law, Justice, & Society hosts special events related to law and legal institutions, promotes dialogue related to the legal community, and offers programs of interest to the community at large, their website states.
Lieff Cabraser believes in the power of community service to encourage understanding of the law, and proudly supports civil and human rights, access to legal services, and improving civil justice.
