Mark Chalos, Kenny Byrd, and Andrew Kaufman Meet with Tennessee Legislators to Preserve Right to Jury Trials

Lieff Cabraser Nashville lawyers Mark Chalos, Kenny Byrd, and Andrew Kaufman were at the Tennessee legislature Tuesday fighting for the rights of Tennesseans. The lawyers met with legislators from both parties and discussed the attempts by special interests to interfere with Tennesseans’ right to hold wrongdoers accountable through jury trials. The right to a jury trial is guaranteed by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and Article 1, Sec. 6. of the Tennessee Constitution.

“We as Americans must be on guard to protect against any violation of our constitutional rights,” said Chalos.
