Lieff Cabraser partner Kelly M. Dermody will be speaking at the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Litigation’s Inaugural LGBT Forum from May 2-3 at the Hyatt Regency Embarcadero in San Francisco, California.
Ms. Dermody will participate in a panel entitled “Views from the Corner Office: Tips from Managing Partners and Senior In-House Counsel.” The discussion will involve openly LGBT attorneys who will discuss their careers paths and the challenges they’ve had to overcome with regard to historic bias against LGBT lawyers.
Other program topics at the LGBT Forum will cover LGBT rights and religious exemption claims, how to create an inclusive workplace, how to handle a hostile political environment, new LGBT cases after marriage equality, LGBTQ youth support, and transgender rights in governmental spaces.
