Benchmark Litigation has named Lieff Cabraser partners Elizabeth J. Cabraser and Kelly M. Dermody to its Top 250 Women in Litigation 2017 listing. Benchmark Litigation, touted as “the definitive guide to America’s leading litigation firms and attorneys,” covers the United States, Canada and Mexico – now in its tenth year of publication. At the same time, Ms. Cabraser was also named by the publication as a Top 10 Female Litigator for 2017.
The publication highlights Ms. Cabraser as “a legal superstar” with nearly four decades of complex civil litigation expertise, noting her role as sole Lead Counsel and Chair of the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee in the historic Volkswagen diesel emissions litigation as well as her work in the consumer class action charging numerous electronic manufacturers with the price-fixing of lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, along with other notable cases.
Ms. Dermody was named for her work on employment discrimination class actions and consumer fraud cases. She currently supervises many of the most significant and challenging employment class action lawsuits in our nation today, including complaints brought by female and minority professionals alleging gender and race discrimination by top defense industry contractors and Wall Street and Silicon Valley firms.
Congratulations to both Elizabeth and Kelly on this prestigious recognition!
