On Friday June 17, 2022, Lieff Cabraser partner Mark Chalos (Managing Partner of the firm’s Nashville office) and Lieff Cabraser associate Kaylee Kohlmaier will speak at the Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association (TTLA) 2022 Annual Convention, “Intelligent Change – Creating a Better Practice.” They will discuss “The Death of Mass Torts? J&J Talc Bankruptcy & Other Updates,” an overview that will include a focus on the Southern Baptist Convention church sex abuse cases arising in the wake of a recent and devastating expose that revealed not just widespread abuse but a massive cover-up as the Southern Baptist Convention sought to conceal and suppress countless child sexual abuse cases, even making direct attacks on the reputations and lives of survivors accusing the SBC of molestations, rapes, and other sexual abuses.
TTLA is a professional organization of member attorneys dedicated to protecting the constitutional promise of justice for all by guaranteeing the right to trial by jury, preserving an independent judiciary, and providing access to the courts for all Tennesseans. Learn more at www.ttla.org.
