Artists’ Lawsuit Settlement With Universal Music Group Over Digital Royalties Receives Final Approval


As reported by Law360 (subscription), Judge Susan Illston of the U.S. District Court in Northern California has approved an $11.5 million class action settlement between Universal Music Group (UMG) and numerous well-known recording artists from as far back as the 1950s, including Rick James’ trust and the Temptations and Rob Zombie.
