Attorney General sues on behalf of injured patients over “reckless” conduct, “egregious” injuries from wildly expensive treatments

Last week, New York State Attorney General Letitita James sued Park Avenue Stem Cell, a private NYC clinic, for allegedly injuring and defrauding patients. Attorney General James is one of many state and federal regulators scrutinizing a growing field of private clinics and their affiliates that represent — recklessly and without full information — to prospective patients that a variety of illnesses can be reversed or made more tolerable by very expensive stem cell injections.

These lawsuits note that these claims are unfounded, and many patients have been egregiously injured by medically unnecessary (indeed, medically unsupported) procedures.

Lieff Cabraser is actively looking into claims brought by injured patients who were persuaded by non-FDA approved clinics to undergo risky and unproven procedures. If you would like to talk to a Lieff Cabraser lawyer about your potential claim, call us today at 1 800 541-7358 or use the confidential contact form on this page.
