Claims Deadline Extended to December 20, 2019 for 2017-2018 Northern California Wildfires

Easy Proof of Claim process must now be completed by Friday December 20, 2019

If you suffered losses as a result of the Northern California wildfires of 2015, 2017 or 2018, you now have until 5 PM on Friday, December 20th, 2019 to file a Proof of Claim. The form is simple, and takes ten minutes to fill out. No lawyer is required — though Lieff Cabraser is open to representing as clients those with substantial, complex claims who would benefit from a lawyer and who have not yet filed their Proof of Claim.

Submitting proof is EASY and quick. There is a lot of false information out there. Here’s the truth:

  • PG&E is NOT broke.
  • You DO NOT need a lawyer.
  • The payments will NOT be small.
  • The payments will NOT be slow (you will be paid within a year).
  • The claims process is NOT complicated (it takes just 10 minutes).

Many Tubbs Fire victims gave up on filing claims after Cal Fire reported the fire started on private property. But new evidence now points the finger at PG&E. Tubbs fire victims should be, and will be, treated the same as all other fire victims. Please file your proof of claim for 2017 and 2018 Northern California wildfire losses right away, and definitely before the December 2019 deadline.
