As reported by the Los Angeles Times, The Thacher School announced Thursday, that it would remove the name of its former headmaster, Michael Mulligan, from the campus dining hall and athletic field. Mulligan led the school from 1992 to 2018. The move is a part of a series of steps taken following the release of a bombshell report last month revealing four decades of sexual misconduct by teachers and staff against teenage students at the elite boarding school.

Even more horrifyingly, the report includes information about a 16-year-old student who was repeatedly raped by her English teacher at Thacher.  In addition, the report notes that even Bill Wyman, who earlier served as headmaster at the school from 1975 to 1992 and died in 2014, faced accusations of inappropriate touching and making improper comments.

The detailed, 91-page report was compiled by an outside law firm following a months-long investigation into the ongoing sexual abuse, molestation, harassment, groping, and rape at the Thacher School over the last forty years.
