We are pleased to announce that Lieff Cabraser partner Katherine “Kara” McBride has been named to Bloomberg Law’s 2026 “They’ve Got Next: The 40 Under 40” list.

Now in its sixth year, “They’ve Got Next” recognizes exceptional young attorneys from across the U.S. who are helping shape the future of the legal profession. Honorees were selected based on their records of success, recommendations, and impact on colleagues, clients, and communities.

In its profile of Kara, Bloomberg highlights her innovative product liability work, including her role in obtaining a $445 million class action settlement with Hino Motors over alleged emissions misconduct involving more than 100,000 diesel trucks. Kara also helped secure a settlement providing approximately $436 million in value to a class of owners of roughly 270,000 Toyota Industries forklifts in a separate emissions-related matter. The settlement received final approval without a single class member objecting or opting out.

Congratulations to Kara on this wonderful recognition!
