Law Rocks Global presents its Seventh Annual Law Rocks San Francisco rock and roll extravaganza on April 25, 2019 at The Chapel in San Francisco, featuring seven bands composed of local legal professionals in a “Battle of the Bands” benefit for area nonprofits. Lieff Cabraser’s band, The R-23s, will be one of the bands performing at the concert, participating in support of the nonprofit The Arc of the East Bay, whose mission is to provide advocacy, support, and education to individuals and families living in East Bay communities who are affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Each band of rock star lawyers participating at the Law Rocks concert also gets to choose a local nonprofit organization for which it will raise additional funds. This year’s selection of benefiting organizations includes Bay Area Youth EMT Program, Blue Bear School of MusicChild Advocates of Silicon ValleyFamily Violence Appellate Project (FVAP)Law Foundation of Silicon ValleyThe Arc of the East Bay, and St. Anthony’s Foundation.

Law Rocks has toured the Bay Area every year since 2013. This unique concert event plays to cheering crowds of legal professionals and friends and has raised over $395,000 for amazing local nonprofit organizations. 2019’s competition promises to be a thrilling night that will feature seven bands, all battling it out musically in the name of charity.

About The R-23s

Lieff Cabraser’s band, The R-23s, previously won the Judge’s Choice Award at the Family Violence Appellate Project’s 2016 Battle of the Bands event. The band has played songs by The Clash, Otis Redding, Cream, and Chuck Berry, among others. The R-23s include Melissa Gardner on flute/vocals, Taylor Evans on vocals, Djuna Gray on bass, Elizabeth Cabraser on drums, Phong-Chau Nguyen on guitar/vocals, Anthony McDaniel on lead vocals, and Elizabeth Schneider on guitar.
