The Fall 2019 “Mass Torts Made Perfect Conference” is being held this week from October 22-24 at The Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. Lieff Cabraser partners Mark P. Chalos, Wendy R. Fleishman, and Sarah R. London will be participating in discussion panels at the conference.
Wendy will co-lead the session-opening Juul E-Cigarette Litigation seminar entitled, “Corporate Cancer Again: Juul.” The session will scrutinize the burgeoning Juul fraud and injury litigation as lung injury cases mount up and Juul comes under ever-increasing criticism for its alleged misconduct in understating vape dangers and aggressively marketing its products to teens.
On day two of the conference, Sarah will speak during a breakout session on the Juul injury litigation, and on day three she will speak on a panel examining “Pay Equity for Female Lawyers.”
On day three of the conference, Mark will participate in a panel discussion entitled, “What You Need to Know About Representing Sexual Abuse Survivors.” Mark is a leader in diverse cases fighting for justice for abuse victims across the U.S.
MTMP conferences are designed for individuals working in the area of plaintiff mass torts and personal injury litigation. The biannual Las Vegas conferences are the largest gatherings of plaintiff mass tort attorneys in the world, with over 1000 participants from 440+ law firms at each event.
Other Mass Torts Made Perfect conference panel topics include: “Talc Cases: Ovarian Cancer and Mesothelioma,” “Hernia Mesh: The Heat is On,” “2019 Roundup Litigation: Multiple Trials on Multiple Battle Fronts,” “3M Ear Plugs,” “Breast Implant Cancer Cases,” “Abilifiy Litigation Update,” “ Valsartan Litigation,” and “Stryker V40.”
