Lawdragon legal magazine has published its annual listing of the 500 “Leading Lawyers in America,” a list that includes Lieff Cabraser partners, Kelly M. Dermody, Eric B. Fastiff, Steven E. Fineman, Wendy R. Fleishman, Annika K. Martin, and Robert J. Nelson. Lawdragon also selected Lieff Cabraser founding partner Elizabeth Cabraser to be inducted into its Lawdragon 500 Hall of Fame, where she joins Richard Heimann who was inducted in 2020. The Lawdragon 500 Hall of Fame includes lawyers who are among “the most acclaimed of their generation, having led America’s signature law firms to unprecedented heights, achieved civil rights advances and changed our world for the better.”
Selected from a combination of editorial research by Lawdragon staff, law firm submissions, and other online nominations, the Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers list is a mark of distinction in the legal profession across a wide range of practice areas. The 2021 list, Lawdragon’s 16th such edition, reflects a record-breaking, 40 percent representation of women and 25 percent minority lawyers.
Pointedly, Lawdragon notes, “We are proud to introduce the 2021 Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America. These are the plaintiffs’ lawyers and voting rights advocates, litigators and dealmakers who have joined arm in arm to turn the page on hard times. They kept showing up…They won compensation for people wrongfully convicted and imprisoned. And fought for the rights of immigrants and so many others crushed in a cold, cruel winter. But today – even with a blizzard coming – it feels like spring. We’re not quite ushering in the Roaring ‘20s, mind you, but we are hopeful that with the help of the amazing lawyers featured here and the tens of thousands of others considered for this guide, we will emerge. Stronger. Better. More equal.”
Congratulations to all the selected lawyers on this distinguished accomplishment!
