Jonathan and three other legal experts were chosen as new members for 2021 for their ability to bring years of experience in diversity and inclusion, workplace equity, and litigation to advance the Beyond #MeToo Working Group’s mission of challenging workplace harassment, discrimination, and misconduct and promoting best practices for workplace inclusion and corporate diversity.

The Beyond #MeToo Working Group is dedicated to understanding the root causes of workplace harassment, discrimination, and misconduct; tracking and utilizing the insights gained through the #MeToo movement; and helping to create the optimal corporate compliance and management structures that prevent workplace misconduct and abuses of power.

Bringing together experts on governance, workplace misconduct, corporate compliance, litigation, diversity, investigative journalism, communications, and human behavior, Beyond #MeToo seeks to provide a neutral forum for candid discussion, practical discourse, and legal and professional scholarship in developing the next generation of policy prescriptions and best practices related to these complicated issues.

About Jonathan D. Selbin

The Chair of Lieff Cabraser’s Economic Injury Product Defect practice group, New York partner Jonathan D. Selbin litigates consumer protection and defective product class action lawsuits against many of the nation’s most prominent corporations.

Cases in which Jonathan has played a lead role have resulted in court-approved class action settlements with combined total payouts to class members exceeding $3.4 billion in cash, plus other relief, such as extended and enhanced warranties.

In 2017, Jonathan and his family founded the Selbin Voting Rights Fellowship at Equal Justice Works, funding a rolling two-year fellow working to ensure fair access to voting in at-risk communities.
