We are delighted to announce that Lieff Cabraser partner Elizabeth Cabraser will be honored with an Award for Excellence in Ethics in Complex Litigation at UC College of the Law’s upcoming Complex Litigation Ethics Conference on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022. The conference is the first in what will be an annual event addressing Complex Litigation Ethics. Its goal is to bring together luminaries in the field—judges, scholars, lawyers, and others—to discuss a cutting-edge topic that is of critical importance to our justice system.

Elizabeth was selected to be among one the first-ever recipients of the award, along with jurist, scholar, and teacher, the Honorable William Fletcher, and distinguished employment defense attorney Fred W. Alvarez.

As noted by the event organizers,

“In developing this program we wanted not only to educate litigators and stimulate discussion on the important and evolving ethical aspects of this practice, but also to honor those who have demonstrated leadership, scholarship, and dedication in promoting ethical behavior and professionalism and to whom others look for inspiration.

Judge Fletcher, Elizabeth Cabraser, and Fred Alvarez are exactly the kinds of individuals and representatives of the profession we had in mind when we developed these awards.”

The conference, co-sponsored by the Center for Litigation and Courts at UC Law SF and by Huntington National Bank, will be held on campus and virtually.
