Lieff Cabraser partners Anne B. Shaver, Tiseme G. Zegeye, and Jessica A. Moldovan recently participated in the 2026 American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Labor and Employment Law National Conference on Equal Employment Opportunity Law, held March 17–20 in New Orleans.

Ms. Shaver moderated the panel “AI in the Legal Practice: Demonstrations, Risks and Ethics,” which explored how artificial intelligence is being used in legal practice, including case preparation and employment-related decision-making. Panelists discussed emerging trends, ethical and privacy considerations, and safeguards to help prevent misuse.

Ms. Moldovan moderated “DEI Under Fire: Navigating the New Regulatory and Enforcement Landscape for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,” a timely discussion focused on the rapidly evolving legal landscape surrounding DEI initiatives. The panel addressed recent federal and agency actions affecting employers, nonprofits, and contractors, including developments involving the EEOC and DOJ, ongoing litigation, and increased scrutiny of diversity programs.
