With the event just weeks away, Lieff Cabraser partners Anne B. Shaver, Tiseme G. Zegeye, and Jessica A. Moldovan will speak at the 2026 American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Labor and Employment Law National Conference on Equal Employment Opportunity Law, taking place March 17-20, 2026, in New Orleans.
Ms. Shaver will moderate the panel “AI in the Legal Practice: Demonstrations, Risks and Ethics,” which will examine how artificial intelligence is being used in legal practice, including case preparation and employment-related decision-making. Panelists will discuss current adoption trends, ethical and privacy risks, and safeguards to prevent misuse.
Ms. Moldovan will moderate “DEI Under Fire: Navigating the New Regulatory and Enforcement Landscape for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion,” a panel providing an update on the rapidly evolving legal and regulatory landscape for DEI initiatives, with a focus on recent federal and agency actions affecting employers, nonprofits, and contractors. Panelists will discuss developments involving the EEOC and the DOJ, including enforcement priorities, litigation challenging DEI mandates, and increased scrutiny of diversity programs.
In addition to serving as a Co-Chair, Ms. Zegeye will host the Employee/Plaintiff Counsel Constituency Breakfast and speak during the Welcome from Committee Co-Chairs.
