We are pleased to announce that Lieff Cabraser partner Lexi Hazam, Chair of the firm’s Mass Torts practice group, has been elected to membership in the American Law Institute (ALI). With her selection, the firm now has five active ALI members, including Elizabeth Cabraser, Kelly Dermody, Jason Lichtman, and Annika K. Martin — a distinction few plaintiffs’ firms can claim.
The American Law Institute is the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and improve the law. Its members include distinguished judges, legal scholars, and practitioners who help draft and publish Restatements of the Law, Model Codes, and Principles of Law that are widely influential in courts, legislatures, and legal education. Election to ALI is highly selective, requiring nomination by current members and rigorous review of each candidate’s credentials and reputation.
