Generac Defective Solar Energy Systems Investigation
Lieff Cabraser is investigating reports that energy tech giant Generac Power Systems’ PWRCell System components are defective and potentially dangerous. The systems reportedly can malfunction and possibly overheat, causing system shutdowns and loss of energy production. The malfunctioning and overheating of components in the Generac systems have been linked to several reported fires. Generac did not disclose the defects to consumers and has not recalled the units. Generac has not informed the public of the ongoing safety risks its systems pose and the systems do not meet the representations Generac made about their quality, function, and safety. The systems at issue include the PWRCell System with SnapRS 801 and SnapRS 801A switches.
