Lieff Cabraser is investigating widespread reports of minor children being sexually exploited and, in some cases, sexually assaulted by child predators who targeted and groomed the children via the popular Roblox gaming platform. According to these reports, the predators — having established a connection with the minor plaintiffs on Roblox — then persuaded the children to continue their interactions, and often to exchange sexually explicit images, on a second platform such as Discord, Snapchat, or Instagram, or via texting or video-calling on a cellular phone.

The allegations against Roblox include fraudulent and negligent misrepresentation, negligence, failure to warn, and design defect.

In February of 2026, lawsuits targeting Roblox for these and other offenses were consolidated into multidistrict litigation under the Hon. Richard Seeborg, Chief U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of California. Judge Seeborg appointed Lieff Cabraser partner Kelly McNabb to serve on the Plaintiffs’ Executive Committee in the litigation.
