As noted by Daniel Hutchinson, a partner at Lieff Cabraser and Chair of the firm’s Employment Law practice group, the social justice components of the firm’s cases are a main driver for the team.

Law360 also highlights some of Lieff Cabraser’s biggest accomplishments from the past year including securing a $118 million settlement with Google in a gender bias suit alleging it engaged in systemic and pervasive pay and promotion discrimination against its female employees.
In addition to the Google settlement, Lieff Cabraser secured an $11.5 million settlement in a race bias suit against Kaiser Permanente.
Hutchinson highlighted the practice group’s “team effort” when prosecuting these plaintiffs-side cases. Lieff Cabraser partner Kelly Dermody, chair emeritus of the practice group, seconded Hutchinson’s comments, saying the team is “committed to making sure their time on the planet makes things better.”
