On May 8, 2023, Lieff Cabraser partner Rachel Geman spoke at the 2023 Class Action Money & Ethics Conference at The Harmonie Club in New York City, where she co-led a panel discussion on gender discrimination and pay equity class-based litigation. The panel reviewed recent large equal pay cases, including Lieff Cabraser’s 2022 $118M Google gender discrimination settlement, and how changes to the law regarding pay equity and requiring pay transparency have put a spotlight on fair compensation in the workplace. The discussion also examined recent litigation trends affecting women and other protected classes, and changes in the employment landscape generally, including across the tech sector, against the common background of pay equity.

This annual Class Action Money & Ethics conference seeks to gather the best minds in the field, to offer a unique platform for the discussion of the latest trends in class action practice. With inspiring talks, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, it views itself as an essential event for anyone eager to understand the ever-evolving world of employment rights litigation.
